Historians from Kentucky will tell you that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in Kentucky in the early 20th century. Others have claimed that it was founded by a man named William Charles Hosatch.
However, the game of Bean Bag requires yet a new dimension of skill and concentration that most sports have yet to demand of thier players. The long distance, under handed, tossing technique required for success at this sport is not so easily acquired. The Bean Bag game is safe, can be played indoors or outdoors, is portable and easy to store.
